About Us

Joodzell

My name is Joodzell Louis, and I am a Health & Society major at UMass Dartmouth with a minor in Black Studies. As a team member, I am involved in our webcase project, which is centered around sustainable apparel in New York City. Our shared passion for fashion and our worry about the disappearance of cotton from contemporary apparel materials are the driving forces for our interest in this initiative.  We’re excited to find out more about environmentally friendly methods used in the apparel business, particularly those that draw from indigenous wisdom and sustainability ideals. Our objective is to investigate how the fashion industry might use these methods to support cultural preservation and environmental conservation.
