Flea Markets :)

Flea markets are good for the environment because they let people trade and reuse things, which cuts down on the need for new production and waste. They promote the idea of reusing and upcycling, which makes people more eco-friendly in their purchasing habits and helps local economies. Here are some New York flea shops that we love that is worth checking out. 

 

Brooklyn Flea Market 

Outdoor markets include Chelsea Flea from 8am-5pm (Saturday and Sunday) open year-round; and Brooklyn Flea from 10am-5pm (Saturdays and Sundays in DUMBO) from April through December. 

 

Bushwick Flea Market

The Bushwick Market is a flea market offering a large selection of cosmopolitan merchandise. It’s conveniently located in Bushwick, Brooklyn – the top district of graffiti & street art in NYC. Open every day (except when raining) the Bushwick Market offers quality vintage, jewelry, antique furniture, plants and other gifts. Fresh unique finds and rare old items are constantly being stocked.

Beacon Flea Market 

Located just behind the Main St Post Office, in the heart of Beacon. A visit to Beacon Flea Market on a Sunday from 8am-3pm may also include Dia:Beacon, Beacon Theater, The Roundhouse At Beacon Falls, hiking up Mount Beacon, a walk along the Hudson River at Long Dock Park, or shopping in the Main Street boutiques, antique shops, and Beacon Farmers Market. Take the trolley bus to the neighboring town of Cold Spring for a great day out!

Ludlow Flea Market

Ludlow Flea is dedicated to supporting small and local businesses specializing in vintage by providing an intimate outdoor market for vendors offering their best curations. Located in the Lower East Side known as NYC’s cultural hub for art and fashion.

The venue is located at 159 Ludlow Street on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 12PM – 8PM

 

East Village Flea Market 

This unnamed flea market happens by the Church of Immaculate Conception every weekend and hosts an array of stands filled with vintage clothes, decor, art, records, and more for great prices.

414 14th St (between 1st Ave & Ave A)  Every Saturday & Sunday, 8 am – 8 pm (year-round)
