Reflections :)

As students in who actively visit New York, we’ve learned a lot about sustainable clothing practices in our sustainability class. We’ve come to understand the profound impact that our clothing choices can have on the environment and on people’s lives, both locally and globally.

Labor practices in the fashion industry, whether fair or exploitative, affect us all, even beyond the borders of New York. They remind us of the interconnectedness of our world and the responsibility we have as consumers to make ethical choices.

Studying Health & Society, we’ve gained insights into how social determinants, including labor practices, can impact health outcomes. This knowledge motivates us to raise awareness about sustainable clothing practices, advocating for a more ethical and environmentally friendly approach to fashion. Together, we can make a difference by applying what we’ve learned to create a more sustainable future for all.
